On Thursday December 10th at the offices of the Foundations for Recovery I got to witness a Dad being reunited with his 12 year old daughter and his 10 year old son who he hasn’t seen in over 2 years. I decided to journal what I was seeing and hearing coming from the lobby of FFR. father-daughter-son2

Our client (Mark*) who celebrated 1 year of sobriety from alcohol on December 1, 2015 is having the most joyous time right now. The laughter coming from the front office as I hide in my office (giving them family time) is absolutely causing me to have an overwhelming heart of gratitude. A thankfulness to my Lord who brought me out of the muck and mire of my own addiction and now is using me through the ministry of the Foundations for Recovery of giving HOPE to another.

With that I want to personally say “Thank You” to all our wonderful donors and supporters who provide monthly financial support to FFR.  It is because of your donation that allowed this father at no cost to him to receive addiction treatment.  If it wasn’t for the generosity of those seeing the vision of FFR in taking the message of HOPE to those suffering in addiction this family reunion would have never occurred.

“Return to your Lord, O prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.”  Zechariah 9:12

God truly does restore.  So please consider the Foundations for Recovery for your year end giving donation. We appreciate your support and I would have to say from the giggling I hear from Dad and his children they also appreciate it as well.
